Why am I seeing profiles from other dating apps?

LDS Singles has started introducing members from across our broader community of dating apps, so some of the profiles you see now began on one of our sister apps rather than here. This article explains who those members are, why we widened the pool, and what it changes about the way you use LDS Singles.

What’s changed. We know LDS Singles works because everyone here is looking for something real, within a shared faith and set of values. To help you meet more people who fit that, we’ve started introducing members from across our broader community of dating apps.

Who you’re seeing. Everyone you see has identified as a member of your community and is genuinely looking for a meaningful connection. We just widened the door a little.

I joined LDS Singles specifically. Why am I seeing people from other apps?

Because LDS Singles hasn’t changed who it’s for. LDS Singles is one of several dating brands operated by Black Cap — see About Black Cap — and someone who has identified as a member of the Latter Day Saint community may have created their profile on one of those other apps rather than on this one. What widened is where we look for them, not who counts.

Control over this is something we’re exploring. We’re always looking for new ways to help you find the right match, and we’re exploring ways to give you more control over whether you see matches from our sister apps. That control isn’t available yet, and we don’t want to suggest otherwise.
