How to view Intro Messages

An Intro Message is a short note someone sends along with a Like before you've matched. Here's where you'll see Intro Messages and what happens when you respond to them.

Where You'll See Intro Messages

You may see Intro Messages in:

• A profile card while browsing Discover or Recommended
• The Intros tab in your Liked You section

What You'll See in the Intros Tab

What you can see depends on your membership.

Basic (Free)

• The sender's profile photo is blurred.
• You can see the sender's name, age, and a preview of their Intro Message.
• Opening the profile lets you read the full Intro Message, but the profile photo remains blurred.
• You can upgrade to Premium to view the full profile.

Premium

• The sender's full profile is visible.
• You can read the full Intro Message immediately.

What Happens When You Respond

If you Like someone who sent you an Intro Message:

• A match is created.
• The Intro Message becomes the first message in your conversation.

If you Dislike someone who sent you an Intro Message, their profile is permanently removed from your Intros tab. This action can't be undone.

Why Don't I See the Intro Message in My Chat?

Intro Messages appear in a conversation only after you and the other member have matched. If you haven't Liked the sender back yet, the Intro Message won't appear in your chat.
