Intro Messages – Common Questions

Got a question about Intro Messages? You're in the right place. Here are answers to the most common questions we hear.


Why can't I send an Intro Message anymore?

You've used all of your Intro Messages for the current 7-day period. Don't worry — you can still send regular Likes. Your allowance resets on a rolling 7-day basis.

If you're on a Basic (Free) plan, you'll be prompted to upgrade to Premium to get a higher allowance (20 Intro Messages per 7 days instead of 3).


Why can I see the Intro Message but the profile photo is blurred?

If you're on a Basic (Free) plan, Intro Messages are visible to you, but profile photos stay blurred. Upgrade to Premium to unlock full profile photos and see who's reaching out to you.


Why did a profile disappear from my Intros tab?

If you disliked a profile that sent you an Intro Message, they are permanently removed from your Intros tab. This action can't be undone.


Do Intro Messages guarantee a match?

No. Sending an Intro Message doesn't automatically create a match. A match is only created if the recipient Likes you back.


As the sender, can I see the Intro Messages I've sent or who I sent them to?

Currently, there is no section where you can view the Intro Messages you've sent or see who you sent them to. If the recipient Likes your profile back and a match is created, your Intro Message will automatically appear as the first message in the chat.


Why can't I see the Intro Message in my chat? The conversation looks blank.

Intro Messages only appear in a chat once a match has been created. If there's no match yet, the message won't show up in your conversations.


I'm on iOS (Jdate or LDS) — why don't I have Intro Messages yet?

The Intro Messages feature for Jdate and LDS on iOS is currently awaiting Apple review. Once the app update is approved and released, the feature will become available automatically if you have automatic app updates enabled. Keep an eye out for an app update notification.


I'm on Android — why don't I have Intro Messages yet?

Due to a technical issue with Android app version 7.6.0, only a limited number of Android users currently have access to the feature. We're working on releasing an updated version as soon as possible.


Is Intro Messages available on Web?

Yes! Intro Messages are fully available on Web and Mobile Web for all brands. If you're having trouble accessing the feature on app, try logging in via the website in the meantime.
