Why is my account blocked?

If you're seeing a message that your account is blocked, it means access has been restricted. This can happen for security, community-safety, or legal reasons. Accounts can't be unblocked automatically — the only way to resolve a block is to contact our Customer Support team, who can review your account and explain the next steps.

Common reasons an account is blocked

  • You're outside a supported location. LDS Singles is available only in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the outlying U.S. territories. If you sign in from outside these areas — for example while traveling — your account may be blocked and you'll need to contact us once you return to a supported location.
  • You're using a VPN or proxy. A VPN can make it look like you're connecting from an unsupported location, and it can trigger our security systems. Turn off any VPN or proxy prior to accessing LDS Singles.
  • Personal or contact information was added to your profile. Adding a phone number, email address, social media handles, or external links to your profile is against our Terms of Service and can lead to a block. Keep your conversations and details on LDS Singles until you truly trust someone.
  • A violation of our Terms of Service. Blocks can result from behavior such as harassment, scams or solicitation, fake or impersonated profiles, inappropriate content, creating multiple accounts, or not meeting our age and eligibility requirements.
  • Suspicious or automated activity. Unusual sign-in patterns or activity that looks automated can trigger a protective block on your account.

How to resolve it

Contact our Customer Support team through the contact form. Use the email address associated with your account, select the most relevant topic, and briefly describe what happened. Our team will review your account and let you know what can be done. Please note there is no way to unblock your account yourself.
