How Do I Change My Preferences?

You can update your match criteria at any time by going to Match Preferences under the Profile tab, or by tapping Preferences in the top-right corner of the Discover tab.

In this section, you can tailor how potential matches are recommended to you. These preferences help highlight profiles that align more closely with your values and interests. Please note that while preferences guide recommendations, you may occasionally see profiles that fall outside your selected criteria.

Preferences Available to All Users

All members—whether free or Premium—can customize the following match preferences:

• Preferred Age Range – Choose the age range you're interested in.
• Gender – Select the gender you want to be matched with.
• Distance – Set how far away potential matches can be from your location.
• Missions – Filter based on past mission service and future mission goals.
• Church – Select preferences related to church activity.
• Relationship Type – Indicate what type of relationship you're looking for.
• Children – Choose whether you'd prefer matches who have children or not.
• Family Plans – Indicate your preferences around having and raising a family in the future.

Additional Preferences for Premium Subscribers

If you're a Premium subscriber, you get access to even more ways to refine your matches:

• Height – Define a height range that suits your preferences.
• Education – Filter by education level.
• Politics – Select political preference.
• Temple Status – Match based on temple recommend status.

These exclusive filters can help you narrow your search even further and find matches that align with your most important values.

To make changes, simply tap the right arrow next to any preference and update your settings.

Tip: The broader your preferences, the more potential matches you'll be able to see. We encourage you to keep your settings open where possible to allow for a wider selection of compatible profiles.
